Tuition and Financial Aid

Please find information for the 2023-2024 season tuition costs below.
Tuition rates for the 2024-2025 season will be posted when available.

At MYAC, we strive to keep tuition as low as possible while remaining a fiscally sound organization with a solid foundation and future. Tuition covers only a portion of the actual program cost, and the generosity of donors helps fill the gap. We are very careful to maintain a non-profit approach to our expenditures and income while assuring the musical/ educational/ financial stability of MYAC. Simply put, we want to be able to continue to achieve our mission “to build a home with the power of music to enrich the lives of our students and theircommunities” for many years into the future.

Tuition is charged to cover a portion of the actual cost of the programs at MYAC (tuition actually covers only 57% of operating expenses). The tuition listed below is for the entire academic year. Tuition for large ensembles is never prorated.

Please note: Chamber Music participation is required for all students in Concert & Symphony Orchestras, and is included in the tuition rates below. Chamber music tuition is only prorated when MYAC does not place a student in a chamber music ensemble for the entire year. Please also note that Jazz Combo participation is required for all students in Concert Jazz Band and Jazz Orchestra. Like Chamber music, Jazz Combo tuition is only prorated when MYAC does not place a student in a combo for the entire year.

Students participating in multiple large ensembles will receive a discount (20% for second ensemble; 40% for third ensemble).

MYAC makes every attempt to ensure that no one is excluded from participation in our programs for financial reasons. Need-based financial aid, as well as Merit Scholarships, are available. Financial aid decisions are made based on a formulaic method, which guarantees consistent, equal, and fair awards across all our different families’ situations. In addition, the template used in evaluating financial need is revised periodically to account for current economic conditions.

Please do not hesitate to apply for financial aid!

Invoices are sent out by August 1. Tuition payments for 2024-2025 are due by August 31, 2024. Payment plans, which involve full payment by December 1, are available but must be submitted by September 1 st to avoid a 10% late fee. A 10% late fee will be charged each month payment is late.

If applying for financial aid after the September 1 deadline, available financial assistance is reduced 10% each month unless a special circumstance occurs.

After the second rehearsal, there will be no refunds. Those participating on payment plans will still be responsible for full payment of tuition.

Late Enrollments: Tuition is due after the second rehearsal attended, after which point there are no refunds.

Stevi Marks Memorial Choral Scholarship

Stevi Marks served as our choral director at MYAC for over 10 years. Due to the generosity of many people who were touched by her life and work, an endowed merit scholarship has been established. Each year current VocalPoint students will have the opportunity to apply for this award.

Merit Scholarship forms will be available in early summer.

FINANCIAL AID:

MYAC makes every attempt to ensure that no one is excluded from participation in our programs for financial reasons. To this end, need-based financial aid is available, and families are encouraged to apply. It is board policy that a family's financial situation should not preclude any student accepted into MYAC programs from participating.

Please call the office if you have any questions concerning the application process, or if need arises during the academic year. Available financial assistance is reduced 10% each month after September 15 unless a special circumstance occurs.
