Want to make your party, meeting, wedding, or other event truly special? Consider hiring an MYA ensemble! Or become an Annual Sponsor or Contributor at the $5,000 or above level, and we will make arrangemetns for an ensemble to perform at a business, individual, or foundation event at a mutually convenient date and time.

Midwest Young Artists is the largest and most comprehensive youth music ensemble program in the greater Chicago area. As an organization, we set up many formal opportunities for our students and their ensembles to have performance goals. Many of our young students have gone on or will go on to careers in music. MYA wants to provide a chance for them to learn responsibility and work skills that they will need later whether they embark on a career as a professional musician or a career in another field. We also want to showcase their talents, offer them visibility and a variety of experiences.

If you are interested in hiring a soloist or chamber music ensemble for your next party, wedding, reception, or meeting, we will: 1) select appropriate musicians based on your needs; 2) work with you to pick out music; and 3) follow up on the engagement.

Rates

Chamber Music Ensemble: $600 fee for a quartet (4 players for one to two hours); each additional hour is $200.
*Rates may be higher if long distance commuting or parking fees apply or wedding ceremony planning is involved.

Soloist: (recital, wedding, or with orchestra) Negotiated on an individual basis.

Wedding Music

If you know the song you want played at your wedding, but cannot remember its name, this may help. For music during and after the ceremony, the following selections are some of the most popular that we offer:

For the wedding march, most people select either Mendelssohn’s Wedding March from Midsummer’s Night Dream or Wagner’s Bridal March from Lohengrin.

Performances for Non-Profit Organizations

If you are a non-profit organization and would like to hire an ensemble for an upcoming event, please complete an Unpaid Performance Request Form and return it to the MYA office.
