Voices Rising Summer Camp
Midwest Young Artists' nationally recognized Summer Music Festival has an outstanding faculty, nurturing staff and is held in a beautiful and comfortable setting. The Summer Music Festival offers students an unparalleled music experience in a fun and supportive environment. Our goal is to help each student grow musically and individually. Dedicated faculty, who love to teach, will inspire students to explore new ideas, discover new talents, and learn skills that will stay with them forever.
About the Camp
The Voices Rising Summer Camp nurtures the love of singing and the joy of performance while developing healthy vocal habits. Students will build musicianship and vocal skills by continually seeking excellence in music of diverse styles. If you love to sing and are considering studying music, then this is the workshop for you!

This workshop is held in the beautiful MYA Center in Fort Sheridan.

Faculty
Ben Gray
Ben Gray is the director of choral activities at Deer Path Middle School in Lake Forest, Illinois. He directs 5th through 8th grade choirs as well as the spring musical. His 8th grade choir performs at Disney’s “Magic Music Days” Festival at Disney World each year. Mr. Gray holds a Choral and Instrument Education degree from Northwestern University School of Music as well as a Masters of Music Education from the University of Michigan.
Tuition and Application
The Voices Rising Summer Camp is FREE to all Voices Rising students enrolled in the Fall of 2012. For those who decide to continue their vocal education, the $200 workshop tuition will be applied to the Voices Rising Tuition for the 2012-2013 season. Non-Voices Rising students must be approved by Ben Gray. All students wishing to attend the workshop should complete the Secure Online Application Form and submit the non-refundable $50 application fee (for Non-Voices Rising Students only). This application fee will be applied toward summer workshop tuition. Applications will be accepted until all positions have been filled. Tuition must be paid in full by June 1, 2012.
