Recording & Engineering Workshop
Open your world to the excitement of the recording industry this summer!
Recording and Engineering Workshop is a hands-on experience where students assist with the recording and editing of two live performances. Performance venues include Chicago’s Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park and Carthage College located in Kenosha, Wisconsin. All editing takes place at the MYA Center in Ft. Sheridan.
About the Festival
Midwest Young Artists' nationally recognized Summer Music Festival has an outstanding faculty, nurturing staff and is held in a beautiful and comfortable setting. The Summer Music Festival offers students an unparalleled music experience in a fun and supportive environment. Our goal is to help each student grow musically and individually. Dedicated faculty, who love to teach, will inspire students to explore new ideas, discover new talents, and learn skills that will stay with them forever.
Location
The editing sessions take place at the MYA Center at Fort Sheridan, an historically significant building that once housed the U.S. Army Stockade. The center is a beautifully restored building that offers students a comfortable and functional home away from home during the summer.
