Nationally renowned trumpeter, Barbara Butler, has appeared as soloist with Music of the Baroque, Chicago Chamber Musicians, and Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra. She is a former member of the Eastman Brass, Eastman Virtuosi, Vancouver and Grant Park Symphony Orchestras. Her accomplishments include performances, recordings, and broadcasts with St. Louis, Chicago, New York, and Houston Symphony Orchestras. Barbara has appeared as soloist with several major orchestras and festivals and has presented recitals and master classes worldwide. Ms. Butler is currently on the faculty at Northwestern University in Evanston and was formerly on the faculty at the Eastman School of Music and the University of British Columbia. She is a student of Vincent Cichowicz and Adolph Herseth.
