Auditions for the 2012-2013 Season
MYA Auditions begin in March each season. Entrance into all programs, except Reading Orchestra, Mighty Maestro Singers and Little Maestro Singers, is based on the result of an audition. All auditions are taped and reviewed by a committee of ensemble directors in early May. Placement decisions are announced in May and after that, auditions are held only for open positions. We recommend that students apply for an audition as soon as possible.
Prospective students and their families should become acquainted with the various programs offered by Midwest Young Artists. Visits to our regularly-scheduled rehearsals are always welcome and attendance at MYA concerts is strongly encouraged!

Current MYA members are not required to audition each year unless they wish to apply for the next higher level ensemble.
How do I Sign Up and Schedule an Audition?
- Fill out an Audition Form when completing the form, please provide the e-mail address you use most often for audition-related communications. After you submit the form, please print and keep your audition scheduling code.
- Pay the $30 non-refundable audition fee. You may pay your $30 non-refundable audition fee in one of two ways: (Click Here to Pay online)
- Pay by credit card: PayPal will process your payment instantly and you will be able to immediately schedule your audition
- Pay by check: Once it has been processed, you will be notified by E-mail to schedule your audition
Be sure to double-check your family and school calendars before selecting an audition time. Due to the high demand for times, each rescheduling of an audition appointment requires the payment of an additional $30 non-refundable rescheduling fee. Click Here to Pay Online.
During peak audition sign-up period, we may temporarily run out of audition time slots. Please rest assured that we actively monitor the audition schedule and will add additional time slots as needed. Thank you for your understanding!
